Our makers pleat the printed cotton by hand and stretch it carefully over a sturdy metal frame. The folds give the pattern more depth, create subtle shadows across the surface and lend the shade its distinctive structured silhouette.
The larger proportions allow the print to really come through, while the crisp pleating keeps the overall look refined. We use substantial cotton and quality construction so the shade feels as good up close as it looks across a room.
Switch the lamp on and the folds gently diffuse the light, revealing new tones and details within the print.
Small variations in colour, placement and impression are part of the hand block-printing process and make every piece slightly different.
